Promoting obesity is just the same as promoting anorexia.
That’s like saying promoting being tall is just the same as promoting chopping off your own legs to become shorter.
So no, it’s not the same.
And yes, you can go fuck yerself.

First of all, I still think this image is really beautiful.
Secondly… PEOPLE ARE FAT. People are fat for a lot of reasons. GET THE FUCK OVER IT ALREADY.
.
No one is “promoting” obesity. No one is saying, hey look it’s totally awesome and all sunshine and rainbows being fucking fat and you should become fat right. this. second. No one is saying, hey sit around and get fat it’s totally awesome and your life will never be better.
.
You want to know what it’s like to be fat? Honestly? A lot of times, it fucking blows. Not because being fat is inherently bad, or unpleasant, or makes you unattractive or unhealthy (by the way)… but because you are constantly, never-endingly subjected to people being ASSHOLES for no fucking reason.
.
Because when you have the courage to take an image like this, to post an image like this and say, “this is me, and I am beautiful,” you have to then put up with a bunch of fucking idiots who find it necessary to say, “ohhh you’re promoting obesity.”
.
FUCK. YOU.
.
Do you really ever think anyone on the PLANET is going to look at this and go, “oh hey, I think the best possible thing I can do right now is get fat like her?!” It’s not going to fucking happen.
.
But you know what might? Some girl, some woman who is not stick thin… some girl, some woman who has spent her whole life feeling ugly and worthless because people are constantly telling her that she is because she is round, or soft, or yes- FAT… some girl, some woman may see this and think— “this is actually beautiful. I AM actually beautiful.”
.
So fuck you. No one is “promoting obesity.” We’re trying to promote the normalizing of fucking NORMAL BODIES.
